Equator will expand its laundry line next month with the addition of washer/ dryer combination model EZ3600CEE, a front-loading unit that meets Energy Star and Consortium Of Energy Effciency standards.

The new 100v combo unit is ventless, so it can be installed under a counter or built into a kitchen or laundry-room cabinet.

It was designed specifically for inclusion into the National Clothes Washers Initiative, so consumers who purchase the unit will qualify to receive mail-in rebates from participating water and power companies, according to Equator.

The suggested retail price of the EZ3600CEE combo is $995. Equator president Atul Vir said it will be available April 1.
